Splash Some Sea
Water parks are the best bet for boaters traveling with their families. These parks offer some fun stuff for a fair price, occupying your leisure time in the most idyllic way. Dove Waterpark at 1509 Hood Ln, for instance, is a well-liked spot.

Another well-know and the popular water-fun park are Paradise Springs Aquatic at 1501 Gaylord Trail. There are some splash pads, slides, and zip lines available for kids. Within walking distance to Cross Timber, there is the Messina Hof Grapevine Winery. It’s an old building with very interesting interior design, reminding you of the good old days. There’s room to stroll around and a variety of seating arrangements and areas.
Moreover, having multiple bars and good staff that knows the products has made them a public choice. So, if you’re tired of boating on Grapevine Lake, this is the place to relax!
Umbra Winery, on the other hand, is less than a mile away from the south end of the lake, ready to serve all the boaters 12-11 P.M. The owner describes this place as a “lively tasting room offering house-label & imported wines & tapas in a chic atmosphere.” But they also have dozens of wines, all great quality and 4-time yearly shipments for wine club members.

The lake comes right up to the sandstone shoreline. You can watch the sunset across the lake here or see the fireworks for the 4th of July and during the summer when the Gaylord sets them off on Friday nights.
